Advisory Board

FrequencyWare, a technology start-up company, focused on developing RFID solutions for progressive businesses, have formed its Advisory Board. The Advisory Board provides valuable advice to FrequencyWare on business and strategic issues that occur during its operation.

Advisory Board members shape the characteristics of FrequencyWare, and provide the primary source of expertise that can be drawn upon to lead FrequencyWare's activities. Members of the Advisory board strengthen the capabilities of FrequencyWare by offering advice based on extensive experience and diverse backgrounds.

Dr. Parham Aarabi

Dr. Aarabi is currently an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Toronto. Prior to that, he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He has been the recipient of numerous research and teaching awards and honours, including World's Top Innovator awarded by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In June 2001 he founded the Artificial Perception Lab where his group is focusing on developing novel multi-sensor algorithms and systems to enable computers to 'understand' the events and objects in their environments. His research has appeared in over 50 peer-reviewed publications and a variety of international media.

William E. (Ted) McKechnie

William E. (Ted) McKechnie is Chairman and CEO of XTRA Gold Corporation. He has extensive experience in finance, marketing and sales in multiple consumer food and natural resource industries. He is an expert in turning around businesses and helping them achieve their full potential. Prior to his leadership of Xtra Gold, Mr. McKechnie was President and Director of Dovar Petroleum Corporation. He has also served as President and CEO of several consumer package food companies including Maple Leaf Grocery, Humpty Dumpty Snack Foods, and Hostess Frito Lay. Mr. McKechnie's achievements earned him the Philip Morris Chairman's Award for "recognition of extraordinary contributions having a significant and lasting impact on the Corporation".

Seth Rudin

Seth Rudin is currently Vice President of ABS System Consultants, a full service Business Intelligence consulting firm, specializing in Software Development, Professional Services and IT Consulting Support. Seth’s responsibilities include Business Development, Project Management, and Client Relations. Prior to joining ABS, Seth was Vice President of Internet Incubation.com, where he helped to launch start-up companies, by managing the human resources, financial, managerial, and marketing tasks. Seth has an extensive background in the public sector. He held several senior positions within the Canadian Federal Government and the Provincial Government of Ontario, including Senior Advisor to the Canadian Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. Seth has worked extensively with a number of Canadian and international decision makers at the highest levels of government.
