Advisory BoardFrequencyWare's Advisory Board comprises a group of industry executives and professionals that are appointed for the purpose of offering advice and support on a wide range of issues that are relevant to the organization. The Advisory Board is the primary source of expertise that can be drawn upon to lead FrequencyWare's activities. The Directors consult with the Advisory Board on business and strategic decisions as a source of recommendations and key information. The current members of the Advisory Board are: Dr. Parham Aarabiis currently an Associate Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at the University of Toronto. Prior to this, he obtained his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University. He has been the recipient of numerous research and teaching awards and honours, including World's Top Innovator awarded by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). In June 2001 he founded the Artificial Perception Lab, where his group is focusing on developing novel multi-sensor algorithms and systems to enable computers to 'understand' the events and objects in their environments. His research has appeared in over 50 peer-reviewed publications and a variety of international media. William E. (Ted) McKechnieis chairman and CEO of XTRA Gold Corporation. He has extensive experience in finance, marketing and sales in multiple consumer food and natural resource industries. He is an expert in turning around businesses and helping businesses to achieve their true potential. Prior to Xtra Gold Mr. McKechnie was President and Director of Dovar Petroleum Corporation. He has served as president and CEO of several consumer package food companies including Maple Leaf Grocery, Humpty Dumpty Snack Foods, and Hostess Frito Lay. Mr. McKechnie has been Awarded the Philip Morris Chairman's Award for "recognition of extraordinary contributions having a significant and lasting impact on the Corporation". Seth Rudinis currently Chief Operating Officer of ABS System Consultants, a full service Business Intelligence consulting firm, specializing in Software Development, Professional Services and IT Consulting Support. Seth's responsibilities include Business Development, Project Management, and Client Relations. Prior to joining ABS, Seth was Vice President of Internet Incubation.com, where he helped to launch start-up companies by managing the human resources, financial, managerial, and marketing tasks. Seth has an extensive background in the public sector. Currently he is the Acting Chair of the Justices of the Peace Appointments Advisory Committee of Ontario. He has held several senior positions within the Canadian Federal Government and the Provincial Government of Ontario, including Senior Advisor to the Canadian Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. Ali Rezafardcurrently has a management position with Afilias in Toronto. Ali is the sole founder of FrequencyWare; he graduated from University of Waterloo with a Software Engineering degree and he provides valuable technical skills and knowledge and overlooks the operations of the company. Stephen Mulhallis a lead business advisor with the Guelph enterprise centre, which has been operating for several years lending valuable help to small business owners. FrequencyWare has been enrolled in this program and has been working directly with Stephen and other advisors of the centre. |
